The first track is a slow, one hundred per cent dub with various grinding in the background. It does not fascinate especially, and after a long listening becomes quite monotonous and overwhelming. The whole is completed by a male voice which appears from time to time and the spectrum of chattering sounds. Number two is also made slightly by dub atmosphere, but this time with a pleasant, faster beat and interesting, mystical rumble. In the end we feel a slight tone of satisfaction and pleasure with the chillout ecstasy. The track is not boring like its predecessor, on the contrary – with every second we wait for something new and surprising. SOMA HOLIDAY begins with words of Aldous Huxley derived from anti-utopia ‘Brave New World’. The track itself is a concentrated to the maximum mixture of dub from the top shelf, lively ambient and wonderful feeling of emptiness. A great dose of sounds for sitting calm in a chair and a leg stamping. DESERT WIND begins with a long and maundering rumble, adorned by light blows of djembe. Here we can feel the inspiration of the culture and traditions of the Orient. Gently perceptible dub rhythm makes that even the desert wind gusts become something pleasant. Bells and shooting stars maybe in the millions quantities. So begins SPECTRAL. From the outset, it is fast and cosmically. The heavy and forceful beat regenerates our body and the mind begins to work at full capacity. However, after some time we expect something new and there is still the same. The song somehow delights, but only in the beginning. After it becomes too ‘the same’. At the beginning A Positive Life serve us a slow ticking of the respirator just to explode after a few seconds and become even non-chillout position in this compilation. The track itself is interesting and contains the entire cross-section of what is the best in psychedelic music. In any event, nor dub or chill or ambient is heard here – but it is very interesting. Sandoz. The first association is a Swiss pharmaceutical and chemical company, in which Albert Hofmann began its work. Sandoz music is calm, deep and simple. And this simplicity kills what could happen here. There is too much knocking, splashing and everything else with the ‘-ing’ ending. And shaman cries emerging from time to time only confirm me that Sandoz music stands out roughly from a Swiss laboratory. At the eighth position we are dealing with Higher Intelligence Agency again. It is worth to listen to the ANGEL OF HARMONY in their performance a few times, because you want to press ‘next’ immediately after hearing it for the first time. With each subsequent hearing the harmony is perceived more and more. The whole is not especially stunning but it has ‘something’, although it is also terribly monotonous. Banco da Gaia again. Striking the gong causes the phenomenon of overflow water. Toby Marx once again shows us that in every musical genre he feels great. A delicate sound of the flute perfectly interacts with insects and rustling sounds gurgling around. SHANTI is a light or even the best conglomeration of frail, ethnic, chillout sounds. The release of Black Mountain Mix certainly can claim to the best track of this compilation. The penultimate position is, as the title indicates, the true Mecca of free space. Cosmic turbulences in slow and monotonous way are born to life. There is too much expectation and fear here. As for me, this position could never appear in this compilation. At the end there is dark and wheezing THE CALLING. Like its predecessor it oscillates between unknown galaxies. Between acidic and slightly sweet. Suitable for the end. Pleasant stamping and gentle ending.

There is a little of everything here. A little bit of what is good and what is bad. The whole is not surprising but it does not tire the listener. Probably it will not be played and listened to very often. However, individual tracks certainly deserve more attention.
