It is not true that autumn is the season of melancholy. It is not true. The worst is winter. At the end of the old year, which greets the new one, to finally escape into oblivion soon after you realize that nothing you did not succeed in it. Then the best way is to do some New Year’s resolutions and and be very assertive and their implementation. Self-examination should be done and to promise improvements. And when you do not care about the orders, and promises to improve the sincerest desire, you can sit down with mulled wine fragrant chemical orange (because it’s Christmas time) and to go to the delicious realm of chillout. For example, with the compilation RITUAL MANUSCRIPTS, (which, just as Ease Division 3 last year) I discovered in the New Year morning. Album which I recommend you is opening by Australian artist and producer DAHEEN who is responsible for seven of nine tracks on the disc. Greets us amusing flute and singing bird, and then hear the guitar and the didgeridoo somewhere in the background. And you know very well that this moment will not last forever.
Traveler takes us on a WILD JOURNEY completely breaking the idyllic climate which Daheen built by the RISING SUN. Now sounds that we hear from the speaker may seem quite sinister in the context of the previous track. Monotonous and more tribal beat, rattles, cries of stoned shaman in contrast with the whispers of the seven parts of the world and we have a mysterious piece of horror. Summarizing that the first path would be lazy, lying down in the sun, another desperate request for the rain, this would have to be considered… actually doesn’t really matter. Who needs these comparisons because every second there are hundreds of new and other vision. But in this trackDaheen brings only bliss. But in this piece DAHEEN only brings bliss. Tenderly and generously nascent guitar sounds, drums, and end-of-sounds fantastic spinning really move into ORBIT. EDDUBY recalls the sound of the instrument that brings to mind the Scottish meadows with sheep that you can safely count before bedtime (because the Scottish grass is the healthiest). I must admit that the boy has a fantasy and uses a radically different instruments with great success. I also admit, (in the New Year’s sincerity) that I am a total instrumental ignoramus, so I would not call those on which Daheen play. TANTRIC for me (in the context of the other tracks on the disc presented by Daheen) is progressively cut off from ethnic folk inspiration. Inspired by mother nature. The track is rich in eccentricities and flavors which are pleasant to listen. RAZ i SOLITUDE is another kettle of fish. I love acid sounds, but maybe not here. Fortunately, there is Daheen, who saves ruined climate by another track MYLANTA. I think that nine of the nine tracks on the album could be his authorship. Here he strongly suggests some twisted sounds come from another world (with very large amounts of space). WHALEN is very similar to the previous number, but contains a little more melancholy and sentimental sound.
This is the end, beautiful friend THE END which is a remix closing the whole album. I think this is certainly the favorite. Maybe it is a little dub remix, maybe a little pastiche, perhaps chaotic, but for sure wonderful.
And all clear. You have to listen to the whole album towait for what comes at the end. For me it is quite logical.
